Meet Emily

Hey friend! I’m Emily, the owner of Elegance by Emily LLC, which was established in 2017!

I was born & raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. My WHY is that I'm a wife, bonus mama, & a boy mama of 3 boys. They are what fuel my fire to work so hard at what I do.

I know exactly how important it is to feel pampered, comfortable, and beautiful in a relaxing atmosphere. I work in my intimate salon suite where you will feel cozy, and will always receive that 1 on 1 personalized experience. I am all about educating throughout my time with you, so you will constantly hear me speak in “hairstylist” terms to help you better understand exactly what I am doing. I may even hand you the brush or product! I want you to leave my chair feeling educated with my golden nuggets of info as well as great conversation, and looking fabulous!

I have been behind the chair for 6 years, but have been interested in the beauty industry since I was young. I even had a period of time in my life when uploading makeup videos on Youtube was my JAM! It was a hobby- turned passionate career for me! I specialize in Wedding and Event hairstyling (my first love), all shades of blonde, and I'm a redhead and color specialist. The beauty industry is very competitive, but my approach is that I am a relational person versus being transactional. I dig’ deeper on guest service experience and building relationships beyond just “she does great hair”. We are human, and everyone loves transparency as well as someone they can trust and is approachable. Your visions and goals matter! Networking & great communication with others have brought me to where I am today.

Fun Facts:

I can dress a delicious loaded baked potato (my husband, my personal an honest food critic would agree), I love Jesus, my family, I’m a nerd for social media algorithms and marketing, I love to become an actress with content creation, I would rather watch a true crime documentary over a horror film, I love to travel (especially on cruise ships).
